Matcha Lifestyle is an editorial design project that investigates the global rise of matcha as a lifestyle trend. Through a visual and cultural lens, the publication explores the contrast between the Western hype and the origins of matcha within traditional Japanese culture.
The design is rooted in minimalism, drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics and philosophy. Microphotography is used as a storytelling tool, offering intimate, abstracted views of matcha and its rituals, creating a tactile and contemplative reading experience.
Each copy of the publication is enclosed in a custom sleeve featuring a unique cover design, ensuring that no two books are alike — reinforcing the project’s focus on individuality within a collective narrative.
